Bride’s Sisterfriend

Allison and I met because I completed an evaluation for her adversary. We were equally impressed by each other’s professionalism but there was a greater appreciation for each other’s character and kindness. I like to think that God just understood the assignment about the purpose of our connection and knew we needed each other in a more personal way. Allison and I grew from being Broadway buddies, to presenting nationally and internationally on topics related to law and mental health, to me witnessing her fall in love with her sweetheart, Ron. It is a complete honor to be a part of this love story and their lives. I’m super thrilled to stand by her side as she says I do to the love of her life. Hi I’m Brian ‘Dyalekt’ Kushner, a hip hop educator and Director of Pedagogy at Pockets Change. I live in Brooklyn NY and my latest song was featured in People magazine here streams & merch raise $ for teachers. Ron is my older cousin (on the younger line but who’s counting) but he’s more like my big brother. He taught me how to play video games, be discerning about rap music (f’real f’real. He would put headphones on me and play the best songs until I knew dope from wack, and now that’s kinda my job so you know he did his thing), how not to be afraid of scary movies, and even scarier, how to talk to girls. I mean how to really talk to girls. Not game. Game only gets somebody played. He told me the best rap game leaves everybody happy, and I found my wife that way. He’s been a role model to me, and his own children. It’s about time the world paid him back.

Allison and I may have started as cousins, but life turned us into lifelong friends – the kind who share an unbreakable connection. From travel to long talks, we’ve built memories that feel more like sisterhood than family. No matter the distance or time between visits, we pick up right where we left off.

Allison is my very dear Cousin/Niece who I love dearly and we share so many special memories together. Her mom would sometime refer to her as my “you know your other daughter”. Allison, father Marion, was my Uncle/Brother. I know it’s confusing but there’s nothing like Real Family Love.

Allison and I have shared many special moments in her life but to see her finding a Lifetime Love Partner has been a beautiful journey with her and I look forward to June 18, 2026 and celebrating this Beautiful Love Connection.

Allison and I met at the luncheon banquet table of a law firm management seminar. I handed her my business card, feeling quite accomplished—after all, I had finally taken our business coach’s advice and added my photo, despite serious reservations. She looked at it, looked at me, and without missing a beat said: “Why does your business card look like you DON’T want people to hire you?” Before I could click on her for that perceived insult, we clicked as friends. And just like that I realized: that’s Allison—honest, bold, hilarious, and somehow always right. Allison is sharp, fearless, and one of the most authentic people I know. She says the things you didn’t know you needed to hear—and maybe didn’t want to—with equal parts fire and grace. A beautiful, formidable soul—and I love her for it.

Seeing her with Ron has been a joy. He brings a calm, steady presence to her fire and brilliance. Together, they are grounded, joyful, and the very definition of balance.

Allison, my heart is sometimes overwhelmed with joy knowing that your hopes and dreams have been made manifest in Ron. And Ron—the aviator in me invites you to keep your seatbelt fastened and buckle in for a lifetime of adventure with the incredible blessing that is Allison.
